The Fifty Best awarded our Copper Bottom Vodka a gold medal in a Domestic Vodka Tasting on August 10 in New York. This is the second medal for our vodka! In April, the American Distilling Institute awarded us a silver medal in its "Cane to Glass" competition in Baltimore.

Not only do we label each bottle by hand, but we also apply award stickers to each bottle by hand. So even though this award will slow down production by adding an extra step, a gold medal is certainly worth the sacrifice!

Our next event is a Rum, Music & Food Truck party on Saturday, August 26 from 5-8pm. Once again, we've partnered with musician Tim Rivers and the incredible Southern State of Mind food truck. Prepare your tastebuds for Lee's unbelievable Key West Shrimp & Grits made with our very own Copper Bottom Silver Rum! You can follow the Southern State of Mind food truck here.

On Friday, September 8, our head distiller & the distiller's wife will host a couples' cocktail class called, "Love the Rum You're With." The cost is $75 per couple and features instruction for three craft rum cocktails (6 per couple). The evening also includes heavy hors d'oeuvres from Stonewood Grill & Tavern. Keep in mind, we offer complimentary tours and tastings throughout the week (Weds-Friday 5-8pm and Saturday 11-8pm). So if you have friends or family coming in town for a visit, be sure to bring them by for a tour and tasting!
